Footage of Def Jam artists Rick Ross and Young Jeezy reportedly coming to blows in Atlanta during Saturday’s taping of the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards has appeared online (watch below).The video, released by TMZ, shows the chaos backstage, with security guards stepping in to break up the fight between the pairs' entourages.
Ross, who is shirtless, is seen yelling before being escorted away.
There were reports on the night that shots had been fired following the altercation, but the Atlanta Police Department have now said that no arrests were made and no shots were fired.
Ross and Young Jeezy are lablemates and former collaborators, but have been involved in a feud for the past few years.
Machine Gun Kelly tweeted he was injured in the mele: "Got mase in my eyes. That beef s**t just got real outside."
The taping of the awards was suspended following the fracas, but resumed soon after, with Ross taking to the stage to perform Hold Me Back and Ice Cold.
BET later issued a statement that read:
"BET Networks works very hard to bring the best in entertainment to the city of Atlanta. For the past seven years BET has celebrated the true art form of Hip Hop.
Due to some misjudgment of select attendees, it is unfortunate that certain incidents took place.
BET Networks does not condone any type of violence. Local authorities are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible."
