Wimbledon Ladies Final Live: Serena Williams vs Agnieszka Radwanska

After watching the men’s semi-finals, one really hopes that the ladies final keeps the momentum going. For one, the stakes are pretty high. Serena can equal her sister’s record of five Wimbledon titles today, while a victory for Radwanska would make her the first Pole to reach the world number one spot.
The rain gods have relented and it looks like we will have an outdoor final after all. Serena starts as a clear favourite especially since Radwanska seems to be suffering from a respiratory illness. The champion will receive 1,150,000 pounds and that should be enough to get her going hopefully.
Serena, the sixth seed, is the power player and her serve has been devastating throughout the tournament. Radwanska, the third seed, is the smart player but she will need to hope that her American opponent makes a lot of unforced errors.

Quotes
‘I’m so happy to be playing. I’m so happy to be on the court. I feel like this is where I belong. I mean, maybe I don’t belong in a relationship. Maybe I don’t belong somewhere else. But I know for a fact I do belong on this tennis court. – Serena
I will do whatever it takes to make sure I’m ready to play the best I can – Radwanska
Stats
- These two women have played each other only twice before, in Berlin in 2008 and Wimbledon the same year – Williams won both matches in straight sets.
