Oshiomole Wrestling Championship gets February date

Arrangements are in top gear to organise the maiden edition of Comrade Adams Oshiomole Wrestling Championship tagged “Parade of the Champions” in recognition of his numerous contributions towards the empowerment of youths as well as giving the dividends of democracy to Edo State.
According to the coordinator of the championship, Prince Ahmed Olarewaju Mohammed,  the  tournament  which will be held in two centers in each of the Senatorial zones in the state from Friday 10th to Sunday 19th February, 2012 will involve foreign and local wrestlers who will square up against themselves  to determine the strongest man in the week-long event even as he announced that the highlight of the  championship will be a ladder contest  that will be used to determine the last man standing among the mats men.

  He noted that Edo State born wrestling sensation, Strong Bone Erukujeje will lead notable Nigerian wrestling giants such as Tony Destroyer, Mr. Sharpman, Mighty Man, Rocky Johnson, Hot Tempo, Super Roscko, Iron Scatter and Nigerian queen of the mats, Lady Bunmi against some of the best wrestlers in the world such as Belgian Robin, "The Bull",  United States of America’s Giant Jackson and Dynamite Solution. Others are  Germany’s Eric Shcharz,Micheal Kovak of Kuwait, Erik Justra of Norway, Masato Tanaka of Japan, Tye Mupepe of Democratic Republic of Congo, Lady Shanna of Portugal and Lady Sweet Saraya of United Kingdom who will be led by World heavyweight champion Chris Bambikiller of Austria.
 Mohammed, who was the coordinator of the maiden edition of the BRF Wrestling championship, stated that the tournament has received the blessing of Edo State Governor; Comrade Adams Oshiomole just as he announced that the ten belts to be competed for in the championship has been delivered from Australia.

“I am happy to inform you that the championship has received the blessing of Governor Oshiomole whom we all know as a great sports man and we want to use the tournament to send a message across to the youths of this country that victory does not come easy.
‘’ It will also interest you to know that  ten championship belts which were specially prepared in Australia for the tournament  has been received and we are only waiting for the February date to enable our brothers and sisters in Edo State have a real feeling of what professional wrestling is all about”, he concluded.
