Coach of Celtic, Clinton Larsen is reported by the
Sowetan newspaper to have watched Nigeria Premier League (NPL) side,
Sunshine Stars lose 0-2 to Esperance in the Caf Champions League on
Sunday.The Bloemfontein Celtic gaffer is keen to bolster his squad with a Nigerian talent and has now spotted Sunshine Stars' captain, Oboabona.
But no approach has been made by the PSL club as Larsen was just on a scouting mission to Nigeria, SuperSport.com understands.
Sunshine Stars' head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote told SuperSport.com that he is unaware of any approach for Oboabona.
"I'm just hearing this. No club has asked us for his service," he said.
Two former Enyimba players, Ezenwa Otorogu and Prince Wilson Olomu have played for Celtic in the past.
