Ex-Pussycat doll singer Nicole Scherzinger is the newest judge on the reality show X-Factor UK.
The singer will replace former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland, who was a judge last season. Kelly bowed out of the X-Factor
gig in April, citing scheduling conflicts, and has since been on the
move, receiving numerous awards for her role on the show, covering the
latest issue of Ebony Magazine, and landing a cameo role in Steve Harvey’s ‘Think Like A Man’ film.
Scherzinger was originally hired as a co-host for the US X-Factor, which debuted in the states last year, but was eventually removed.
The Daily Mail reported
that the singer, who has served as a guest judge during the various
auditions, has always felt comfortable on the set. Nicole, who was at
the London audition recently tweeted, ‘Great day @thefactor
@officialtulisa @gbarlowofficial @Walshlife! We saw some amazing talent!
Thank UK for always being so kind to me! #grateful.’
The X -Factor UK will return to screens in August, with live shows from October. Nicole will join Gary Barlow, Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos on the judging table.
